PAINTING SALES

Hope you are keeping well all! Wow! Where has the time gone to?.....it has flown and just keeps flying. Flight must be on my mind as I seem to be partial to painting birds at the moment and have had a couple of bird painting sales since I last checked in and wrote a blog.  I know we are all becoming more time poor these days so will keep this as short as I can.

Firstly so happy to have sold my Quirky Emu at Bluethumb always a buzz when you receive an email to say 'Congratulations your artwork has sold'! Made my day at the time - and then I woke the next day and had another email with Congratulations your artwork has sold! This time it was Friendly Magpie. You can see both below, what a lift it gave me. Sooo happy these two have found new homes and always thankful to buyers of my work.  NEW WORKS - BIRDS

So as I was saying birds are on my mind lately and seeing as another Quirky Emu had flown away, I wanted to attempt to try and paint 2 on a canvas on a larger scale. One day when time allowed I grabbed my brushes and splashed away and when finished I was so pleased with these 2.  I really do hope my Quirky Emus make you smile, they do me. These 2 cute, happy birdies are painted on a 61 x 61 cm canvas on a plain white background so they can enjoy the limelight.  Click HERE for more information or email me ☺ [email protected] 

As I enjoyed painting the above quirky emus very much I bought another canvas same size and painted 'Kooky Kookaburras'! What fun I had with these 2 below and I am now thinking of another pair of cute characters to paint. Made my day also when I received an email yesterday (12th Oct) saying they had been featured in the Staff Picks at Bluethumb! NEW PAINTING - SNOW AT KATOOMBA CREEK, BLUE MOUNTAINS

I may have mentioned before in an earlier blog, but I can't remember, that we had snow in the Blue Mountains this winter. It was like a fantasy wonderland and I took lots of photos, I ran around madly clicking excited to have lots of lovely photos for references. I have painted one already that is mounted in a beautiful wooden Australian crafted frame and is available for sale at my Bluethumb profile - click HERE or email me direct. I have plans for a large Blue Mountains painting of the The Three Sisters in Snow but first things first I have to buy the canvas and hope it will fit in my car!  However I am still wrapped up in my bird paintings and will be painting some more of those first. So stay tuned...see below latest painting added to my Blue Mountains Series. As you can see there is lots of juicy detail in this one as I like to focus on the little things in nature that we sometimes miss in the rush of life. 

SPRING EXHIBITION AT THE EDGE GALLERY WITH BMCAN

The Spring Exhibition is on now at The Edge Gallery in Katoomba - you can see me below holding my soft flowing Tapestry of Leaves that captures nature in a graceful style. Here I am in my studio. I also have 2 other paintings hanging on the gallery wall. So if in the area and want to catch a movie and view some lovely works of art please do! Photo a bit blurry sorry but you get the idea. Happy to have sold my Rainbow Lorikeets at the Winter Exhibition.

EXHIBITIONS COMING UP! 

Excited to announce there are 2 exhibitions coming up in the Blue Mountains soon. One is Blue Mountains Artfest 8th - 10th Nov. I will have 4 of my works on display and for sale and the other is Blackheath Rhododendron Festival Art Show on 25th - 3rd November. I will have 3 of my artworks on show and for sale. Please pop along if in the area and feast your eyes on a beautiful display of art from a diverse range of talented artists.
