Hi there hope you are keeping well and enjoying the beginning of the new year.

2024 has started off really well for me with 4 paintings sold at Bluethumb, many thanks to all my supporters and collectors. It has been a busy few months not just with art but with Airbnb guests coming and going and family celebrations.

BLUE HORIZON PRINTS

I really enjoy selling high quality wall art prints at Blue Horizon Prints.  I was happy to have sold 5 leading up to Christmas. Keep a  look out for new works.  My most popular seem to be birds and animals! You can buy these in different formats in many sizes. See examples below.

2024

There does not seem to be a lot happening in the way of exhibitions in the mid mountains this year. GBMCAN has changed its focus and concentrate more on the outer west creatives.  I still have 4 works at The Edge Gallery in Katoomba for viewing and for sale in the current exhibition. Pop in if in the area and have a browse.  So until next time I will be creating and painting.  Remember you can always send me a message if you would like to browse my own studio and gallery.

Hi there!
Hope everyone is ready for the festive season.  Just popping in to let you know what I have been up to.
I have been blessed with a few sales since I last checked in and I even opened up the studio for a weekend, it has been years since I popped the signs out for the public, unfortunately we had a heatwave but I was happy to greet a few visitors. More info below. 

Firstly, I will share my original art sales and very thankful to have received each and every one. Light at the end of the tunnel was sold from the studio to a lovely Airbnb couple - it caught their eye in the gallery. The other two sold on Bluethumb.

STUDIO OPEN WEEKEND NOVEMBER and studio sales

It was great to meet and greet a few visitors on my open studio weekend. I popped a few signs out and was really surprised to see my visitors brave the heatwave that we were having.  I met some lovely people and art products were most popular. See a selection of sales below. I will be ordering new books of the Spirit of Trees that I have published as I only have a couple left out of 100. There is 1 left of Beyond Nature.

Quite a few cards left the studio along with books, cushion covers, cushion, prints and emu bag. Very grateful. I will pop the signs out again in the new year otherwise you can always message for an appointment. 

I also had a few phone orders and a lovely artist friend of mine recently called in to purchase a Starlight scarf as a gift for another artist friend. Artists supporting artists are wonderful. Designed from an original watercolor. Click image to purchase on Redbubble.

Well what can I say about Redbubble the sales have been coming in fast due to people shopping online for Christmas gifts and it is great to know my products are travelling around the world. Everglades Historic House and Garden

Did you know the historic house at Everglades in Leura has been renovated? You must go see if in the Blue Mountains and also enjoy a cup of tea and a bite to eat at the Tea Rooms.  The gardens are beautiful any time of the year and I recently sold one of my Elegance art deco cushions at the shop.  I have two designs available.

Life is busier for us all and social media is a challenge.  I know that I am not the only one finding it harder to be seen, with more and more artists going online to sell we are just little fish in the sea.  I cannot thank my supporters enough and it fills my heart with gratitude when my art sells and knowing it is bringing joy.

Hi there!
Well it has been a while since I popped in with some news so will bring you up to date.  Yes I know I always say this but life is still keeping us busy as most of us are these days.  Hope you are keeping well.  Now to some art news.....

Monolith Valley Commission

I completed my commission of the Monolith Valley and handed it over to a very happy client.  It was a pleasure to complete this work of art that meant so much to its new owner. Ryan also took a fancy to my Blue Koala so purchased that also on collection of the commission.  Very happy they are now in a lovely new home.

Bluethumb Sales

Bluethumb now has over 355,000 artists so I am always surprised to receive the notification of a sale. So very happy my Lazy kookaburras have now flown to a new home.  It went to the framers first then flew on to Western Australia.  

I decided to redo 2 of my bird paintings and as soon as I reworked and reloaded they sold so very happy I did! One was a Kookaburra and the 2nd Cockatoo The Lookout (see below) - it was repainted and sold. Also my little Magpie is now living in Queensland. Very thankful.

THE EDGE GALLERY - ART SHOW CONTINUATION

BMCAN is now GBMCAN and has a new committee.  Unfortunately noone has taken over the running of the Edge Gallery Exhibitions so the art that was on display and for sale is still there.  Great news for me though as I sold one of my paintings to a lovely man who purchased it for his brother.  Forest Light has been replaced with another work of art Daisy - Quirky Emu so if in the area of Katoomba pop in and view the art.

Hi All

Hope everyone is keeping well.  Lots of happenings this end with 3 sales, 2 at Bluethumb and also one from the studio that was a lovely surprise. You can see them all below.  I am busy painting a commission at the moment from Ryan who purchased my Autumn Jewels at the studio.... it is just about finished. Very thankful as always to the purchasers of my art and it brings me much joy knowing my 'babies' are in lovely new homes.

Hi all

Hope everyone is keeping well! Winter is here in Australia and hopefully the sun shines all the way through. Hopeful thinking I know ☺ A lot of exciting happenings in my art world with an exhibition at Mt Victoria with GBMCAM and sales at Bluethumb and Redbubble.  I am always thankful and grateful to the buyers of my art!

If in the mountains near Mt Victoria go visit the Hotel Etico that is steeped in history. It's Australia's first 'social enterprise' hotel supporting young adults with learning disabilities. P​op in and enjoy the show and the hotel's charm. You can sit by the fire, enjoy a drink and a lovely meal. Exhibition ends 25th June. I have 2 paintings entered Quirky Kookaburras and Nature's Creations.

As most of my art was put in to draft for my Essence of Nature show it was wonderful to receive two sales at Bluethumb recently. Thankful always to the buyers and supporters of my work.

NPWS BLUE MOUNTAINS HERITAGE CENTRE

Happy to announce that my Blue Mountains Art Cards will be for sale ongoing at the centre.  Great to hear that as soon as they were put out on the shelf they were gone in an hour! If in the area go visit the beautiful Govetts Leap Lookout that is now open after renovations.

The Winter Magic Festival is coming and to celebrate and support the surrounding businesses and artists there will be many artworks in shop windows.   I have two of my works on display, one Blue Mountains Sunset at the Artist's Store and Fairy Wren Couples in the Wild Ivy - Florist. Hi All 
Hope you are keeping well. Exciting news my solo show finally opened February 8th at Blue Mountains Heritage Centre, 270 Govetts Leap Road Blackheath. 
Thankful to those that popped in to the 'meet the artist' afternoon and delighted to have sold eight paintings, one is going to America and one to Victoria plus lovely local residents! Great sales and I am very thankful and grateful.  Please see below. All sold works were replaced with new ones! 
Also sold on the last day was a canvas print Blue Mountains Creek and it was lovely to finish with a sale.
Show has now ended but you can still find my cards and products at the Blue Mountains Visitor Centre in the shop.

Happy New Year all, hope it is treating you kindly. Busy busy this end getting organised for my solo art show at Blue Mountains Heritage Centre. See details on brochure below and spread the word thank you!

Hope everyone is well as the busy festive season draws nearer. I have had a great few weeks with sales of paintings and products so sharing my good news.

My two bird Bluethumb commissions are completed and flew to Queensland and are now hanging in their new home. Delighted to say message received from client is  'they look great and I am very happy'! So one happy collector and one happy artist ☺ Here I am in my gallery with Rainbow Days and Kookaburra Delight before they left the studio.

Hope everyone is keeping well.  I am flat out painting 2 large Bluethumb commissions and enjoying the process.  I am working on 2 vibrant Rainbow Lorikeets and will then move on to 2 beautiful Kookaburras. Really delighted to be given the opportunity to paint these Australian birds. You can see them at Bluethumb when completed or keep up to date with works in progress at my instagram profile lindacallaghanartist 

I am also preparing for my solo show early Feb, March and April - details will be given after Christmas.  It is such a busy time of the year for all.

It has been wonderful seeing some of my smaller framed artworks leave the studio for new homes.  I have put a few larger ones on hold for the show so great to have them snapped up recently through Bluethumb.

Hope everyone is keeping well.  So sorry for the late news due to life being busy as always! Never a dull moment. 

Since the last blog I have been offered to hold a solo show in February of 2023 so will be painting when I can to prepare for this and will also have a variety of my available works on show. Information to come towards the end of the year.
